DESCRIPTION
What it is
The Claber 9612 is a brass hose mender for 1/2" and 5/8" hose. It joins two bare hose ends, so you can repair a split or join two lengths.
How it works
Cut out the damaged section with clean, square cuts. Slide a ring nut onto each cut end, push the ends onto the mender, and screw the nuts down hand-tight.
Why it works well
- It saves throwing away a hose with one split in it.
- It makes a permanent, watertight join.
- Brass is strong and lasts outdoors.

I thought I had submitted a report about this but, yes, it is good and doing the job I bought it for, taking water from three or four large water butts to irrigate a polytunnel system of two ground lines feeding two rows of tomato plants. Just what I need.
