Rain Bird XFS Subsurface Dripline with Copper Shield – 100m
Expected Delivery on - .
DESCRIPTION
Rain Bird XFS dripline is buried under lawns, beds or borders and waters the root zone directly. There's no overspray, no run-off and nothing to trip over. Copper Shield technology stops roots growing into the emitters, so the line keeps working year after year without chemicals or maintenance.
Specifications
- Length: 100m coil.
- Pipe size: 16mm outside diameter, 13.6mm inside diameter, 1.2mm wall.
- Emitters: built in every 33cm, 2.3 L/h each.
- Pressure compensating: even flow along the whole run, from 0.58 to 4.14 bar.
- Copper Shield: protects every emitter from root intrusion.
- Filtration: use a 120 mesh filter upstream.
- Water temperature: up to 37.8°C.
Installation
Lay the dripline in parallel rows across the area and connect it to your supply with 16/17mm dripline fittings. Fit a 120 mesh filter and, on mains pressure, a pressure reducer at the start of the zone. Use stop ends or flush valves at the end of each run so the line can be flushed.
Use it with
- 16/17mm dripline fittings: joiners, elbows, tees and stop ends.
- Dripline hold-down stakes.
- Rain Bird DV solenoid valve, to run it as an automatic zone.

Wide range of items at fair prices – some site wanted £14 for end stops. This is FAR more reasonable.
Efficient and reasonably priced. A useful change from the usual six-hole type for certain kinds of watering.
Excellent product
I thought I had submitted a report about this but, yes, it is good and doing the job I bought it for, taking water from three or four large water butts to irrigate a polytunnel system of two ground lines feeding two rows of tomato plants. Just what I need.
Decided whilst my lawn was being levelled that I would pop a few sprinkles around the edge of the lawn spraying in. Now i just need the hose pipe ban to finish before I can start to use them.
Perfect for use when i am away in Spain, perfect for my large indoor plants.
This is a great kit, got it delivered quickly and up and running over the weekend just before we go on holiday. Great Kit.
